Found Poem #2

                                                           "The other greenhouse gases"

                                                For too long, carbon dioxide,
                                                dominated greenhouse gases.
                                                It has been the discussion.
Gas emitted by burning fossil fuels.
                                               The biggie in terms of,
                                               volume.

                                               Single minded approach,
the so called short lines gases,
                                               all been over looked.
                                               Oh no, what a mistake.

                                              Methane emitted by cattle,
                                              landfills, along with natural
                                              gas metal pipes.
                                              Such an added bonus
                                              That methane is fuel.

Found Poem #1

"Straw Into Gold" by Sandra Cisneros

I was invited to a dinner, there will be Mexican food.
....They wanted specifically tortillas, for me to make.
I'd never made a tortilla in my life,
my mother's family is from Guanajuato...
They only know how to make flour tortillas,
I've managed to do a lot in my life...
                         I didn't think I was capable of.

                         Because I am a woman, a Latina.
an only daughter in a family of six men.
                         I broke a terrible taboo.
I left before any of my brothers ventured away.

In 1966, we moved into a house, a real one,
we did not have to change schools every couple years,
We made friends, and they soon became
                         important characters for my stories.

This was the period in my life.
When you're both child, woman, and neither
I was still shy, I was a girl who couldn't come out her shell...
